Imagine holding the news in your hand.

Imagine having that news talking to you.

Imagine inspiring schools kids in years 8,9&10 to interact with the news.

Imagine helping improve news literacy.

Imagine all that and you get the idea of Touch News Network.

I need your support to launch a TNN pilot.

I will enlist schools and harness industry talent.

I already have support from podcasting platform Whooshka.

Plus a couple of Ph.D. students.

I don't have all the answers -- or the funding to start that process.

That's why I need your help.

Here is how we will spend your money:

We'll buy the hardware -- a 3D printer and a smart speaker.

Then we will print a  library of 3D news related artifacts.

Models of, say, Trump or Morrison, Federal Parliament or the White House.

We'll print up to 20 artifacts, each complete with a QR code.

Then we'll ask participating schools to print out the relevant model and feed it with the news story.

And then, by scanning the QR code, the smart speaker will deliver the news.

Ok, it is a pilot and there will be bugs. But it is worth a shot, right?

If TNN can engage a few kids in the news, then I'd say it is money well spent.

I hope you agree.

How The Funds Will Be Used

The budget is quite simple:

1 x UP mini 3D printer = $969

1 x Google home = $135

1x material for 20 artifacts = $10

Plus contigency for printing consultant, research and development work.

Estimated = $1000.

All up = $2114
