Data analytics is an emerging and important part of education, both in schools and in universities. Currently this is an underexplored area in education. In order to develop expertise across sectors the group is planning to host a symposium  that brings together researchers, teachers and other interested people to begin dialogue as a beginning point in moving forward. Any extra money will allow for a project to be initiated to explore ways of supporting educators to understand and use analytics to support teaching and learning. 

The money sought is to cover costs of catering the event for the day and any extra money will provide for activities to be carried out that are initiated during  the symposium.
